Cassie Flynn leads UNDP’s flagship initiative Climate Promise, the world’s largest offer of support to develop and deliver pledges under the Paris Agreement. Active on the ground in more than 125 countries and territories, the Climate Promise helps countries to reduce their emissions and meet the challenges of the climate crisis.

Her team comprises a network of over 70 experts – from finance, gender and governance, youth and health, to energy, adaptation, forests and nature.

Under Cassie’s leadership, the team works with countries to define and achieve their national climate and development targets. Real-time intelligence tracks current NDC data trends, while a strong communications arm shares country solutions to inform ongoing global climate negotiations, enhance visibility, and send a strong demonstration of multilateralism.

Throughout her work, Cassie emphasizes courage and gratitude. She believes in the power of teams, and that everyone, no matter where you come from or what you do, can make a difference on climate change.
